В статье анализируется трансформация политики правящей в Индии Бхаратия джаната парти (БДП) применительно к религиозным меньшинствам на примере мусульманской общины. Исследуется эволюция позиции индусских националистов в отношении мусульман — от отрицания права религиозных меньшинств на политическое представительство до стремления продемонстрировать мультиконфессиональный характер собственной партии. Особое внимание уделяется мотивам, побуждающим значительное меньшинство мусульманских избирателей голосовать за партию, многие деятели которой в разное время допускали исламофобские заявления. Вместе с тем обозначается характер связи мусульман с другими политическими партиями и движениями, прежде всего с Индийским национальным конгрессом (ИНК). Рассматривается политическая ситуация в отдельных штатах, противоречия внутри самой индийской мусульманской общины и особенности агитационных кампаний националистов по привлечению на свою сторону избирателей- мусульман. Отдельно исследуются причины поддержки БДП индийскими шиитами. Анализируются особенности биографий политических деятелей- мусульман, в разное время состоявших в партии. Также изучается ситуация, сложившаяся после победы БДП на общенациональных выборах в 2014 г. и прихода к власти Нарендры Моди. В связи с этим ставится ряд актуальных вопросов, напрямую затрагивающих интересы мусульманской общины и требующих реакции мусульман внутри БДП. Это прежде всего отмена особого статуса Джамму и Кашмира, изменение законов о гражданстве и решение вопроса о строительстве храма Рамы в Айодхье. В заключении говорится о перспективах взаимоотношений между индийскими мусульманами и правящей партией при условии дальнейшего сохранения власти БДП на общенациональном уровне.

The article analyzes the transformation of the policy of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in India towards religious minorities. The evolution of the attitude of Hindu nationalists towards Muslims is investigated — from denying the right of Muslim political representation to the intention to demonstrate the multiconfessional nature BJP. Special attention is given to the motives that induce a significant minority of Muslims to vote for the party, many of whose leaders at various times were noted for Islamophobic statements. The case of cooperation between BJP and Indian Shi‘a community is being considered separately. The final part of the article is devoted to the situation after 2014 Indian general election. There is a number of issues that directly affect the interests of the Muslim community and require a reaction from Muslims within BJP — the abolition of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, The Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 and the decision on the Ayodhya dispute. The conclusion is dedicated to the prospects of the relations between Indian Muslims and the ruling party.
